Utafiti Disease institute

‘Utafiti’ is a Swahili word which means Research. Utafiti is a Research Disease Institute where existing and emerging diseases across the globe are researched and tested. This Institute seeks to train ambitious, talented and highly motivated young Individuals within and outside Africa and the world at large to work on innovative approaches and measures to curb or control the spread of infectious diseases across the globe. It is also aiming to protect public health and safety through the control and prevention of diseases. This Institute further seeks to build capacity in order to reduce the burden diseases have on the continent. Utafiti is a specialised Disease Institute, serving as a platform to disseminate information on diseases affecting the globe via thorough research. The Institute is always available to collaborate and partner with other Institutions to address emerging and existing life-threatening diseases and as well harmonising policies that would aid in curbing the spread of diseases around the continent.
