This Faculty seeks to provide research and evaluation support for the professional and innovative development of both Staff and Students. This Faculty goes a long way to introduce new curricula-based teaching and learning materials and ideas which will bring changes in the University’s professional development systems and which will further lead to different experiences and measurable improvements in Staff-Students outcomes. The FPID is based on the premise that the adoption of a better approach to the needs of Students, would improve the overall effectiveness of their academic endeavors. The Faculty will however create and sustain a teaching friendly environment that supports experimentation, values initiative and freedom of action, rewarding professional judgement and risk taking as well as challenging the status quo by encouraging open-mindedness.
